When we talk about pumpkins, there are several different species and types. The most well-known are perhaps the large orange pumpkins that are becoming more and more common in people's homes at Halloween in the form of hollowed-out lanterns, or the smaller decorative pumpkins that only weigh a couple of pounds each.
