Large and fast-growing pumpkin. Semi-ripe fruits are best for pickling. Pumpkins for storage must be ripe at harvest. Easy to grow. To get a large pumpkin, you can pinch off the fruit blanks and save just a couple per plant. Thrives in a sheltered, warm and sunny spot in well-fertilized and well-drained soil. Needs a lot of water and nutrients.
