Quinoa, Vikinga

A gluten-free and nutritious herb originating from South America. Easy to grow, but somewhat vulnerable to frost at flowering time. Tolerates drought. The plant is harvested when the seeds look well-developed, dried and the seeds are shaken out. This variety has a low content of saponins. Rinse the seeds thoroughly before cooking and using them in, for example, salads or burgers. Thrives best in nutrient-rich, porous, well-drained soil that retains moisture. Water when dry.
