Organic seed. The variety has extra moss-crusted leaves that make it very decorative. Harvest leaves when needed and well into the fall. The plant overwinters, at least in the south of the country. Gives an early harvest in year 2, before it flowers. Can be frozen well. Thrives in a nutritious and well-drained soil. Water during drought.
