Compact plants with double, salmon-pink flowers. Suitable as an edging plant, in balcony boxes, beds and rockeries. The flowers can be eaten, decorative in salads. Unripe seeds can be laid down like capers. Thrives well in lean and well-drained soil. In excessively nutrient-rich soil, the leaves develop at the expense of the flowers. Water regularly and feed sparingly. Place the seeds in lukewarm water 24 hours before sowing to improve germination.
