Koriander

An oriental spice used in curry, Indian dishes, chili sauce etc. The green leaves are used fresh in salads and dishes. The seeds are also used, harvested and dried. Harvest fresh leaves as you go. The seeds are harvested just before ripening, the whole plant is cut off and hung upside down to dry. Harvest the seeds when they have dried. If you leave the plant upright, the seeds will fall to the ground and germinate. Decorative dog biscuit-like plant with bright pink flowers. Thrives in most types of soil, but preferably dry and light soil in a protected location.
