Easy-to-grow cut and bedding flower with double flowers in vibrant colors. Also decorative in pot or urn. Forms small tubers that can overwinter in frost-free space. Cultivation: Sow indoors in seed soil in April-May. Sow shallowly. Germinates after 5-10 days depending on temperature. Replant in small pots with seedling soil. Dahlia is very sensitive to frost. Harden off the plants before planting out by leaving them outdoors for a period on fine days. Plant out when the risk of night frost is over.
