Produces small, tall heads with closed leaves. Sweet and crunchy. Pre-cultivates inside 3-4 weeks before planting, or sow directly at the growing site in damp soil in spring and periodically throughout the season. Thin light and Water regularly. Drought produces bitter leaves. Feel free to cover the soil the plants with grass clippings. The seeds germinate best below 20 °C.
