Brassica oleracea

Delicate and easy to grow cauliflower. Good both raw and cooked. Excellent for freezing in small bouquets. Variety for summer and fall harvest. Leaves give very good coverage. Produces snow-white and well-shaped heads. Cultivation: Sow indoors in seed soil in March-April. Sow shallow. Germinates after 5-10 days. Grow on in a cool place. Replant in small pots with potting soil or plant out on the site immediately after hardening off (=let stand outdoors for a few days before planting out). Cauliflower should have well-fertilized soil and cannot tolerate drying out. Cover with non-woven fabric to prevent insect attack.
