Thin leek-like onions with a mild flavor. The stems become finger-thick without swelling. Pre-cultivate by sowing thinly in moist seed soil. Place in a bright, cool spot once the seeds have germinated, and transplant to 1 plant/pot when they are large enough to handle. Plant out when the risk of night frost is over. Sow directly in a seed furrow or in groups, water before sowing and keep the soil moist until the seeds have germinated. Cover the onion with soil for white, tender stems.
