Oregano - grow your own
Is it called kongsmynte or oregano? Or maybe kongsmerian? Actually, all these names are correct because the plant has been called by these different names in various contexts. However, oregano is neither a mint nor a marjoram, but it is a well-known plant in Norway. Many hundreds of years ago, monks cultivated oregano in long, narrow gardens both for its flavor and for its medicinal properties.
