Care of chrysanthemums

With simple and small measures, you can enjoy a magnificent chrysanthemum indoors or outdoors and beautiful flowers week after week! Chrysanthemums thrive best in pots and containers, both indoors and outdoors in the summer.

Placement and temperature
It prefers a warm and bright spot, but not in direct sunlight for long periods. The less direct sun it receives, the better the flowers will last, and since chrysanthemums thrive well in relatively low temperatures, they can continue to bloom into the fall.
Watering
Make sure to water the chrysanthemum frequently, preferably twice a week with generous amounts. However, it is fine if it dries out a little between waterings.
Fertilization
Chrysanthemums do not require additional nutrients and are very easy to care for. No pruning is necessary other than removing faded flowers and leaves.
Soil
When it comes to soil, it prefers regular flower soil.

Chrysanthemum – a classic and popular potted plant

Chrysanthemums do not have a long history in Northern Europe. It wasn’t until the 1960s that the Danes began cultivating this plant on a larger scale. The reason for this is easy to understand.

Chrysanthemums are beautiful and elegant plants that brighten up both indoor and outdoor spaces. The appearance of the disc florets varies depending on the variety. The flowers can be found in small clusters or singly. The leaves are deeply divided and serrated, with a beautiful dark green color. They also have a distinct fragrance.

Chrysanthemums can resemble daisies and are available in a vast array of varieties. This means you can create great variation in both form and color.
