Transplanting - how to succeed
Indoor plants and interior
When planting in pots, the plant's nutrient and water reserves are limited to the size of the pot. As the plant grows larger, it should be repotted.
In order for your plants to thrive, you should replant them with new soil and in larger pots when the roots become crowded. Lift the plant out of the pot to check the roots. If there are a lot of visible roots around the root ball, it is time to replant. This will give the roots more room and better access to nutrients and oxygen.
This is what you need to repot plants
Before you replant, make sure to have two things clear:PotThe new pot should be 1-2 sizes larger than the old one. If the pot is too large and there is too much soil, the soil may not dry properly, causing the roots to suffer.SoilChoose the right type of soil for your plant.
