Press Release December 9, 2025
Plantasjen, the Nordic region's leading player in plants and gardening, has decided to outsource its logistics operations—a strategic step to increase flexibility and cost efficiency. The agreement means that Speed will take over the entire logistics chain, including warehouse operations and transport solutions in both Norway and Sweden. The collaboration entails a reduction in logistics costs for Plantasjen.
The operation of Plantasjen's logistics centers in Helsingborg and Moss will be transferred to Speed, and employees at both facilities will be offered employment with Speed Group, which helps to ensure continuity in operations and preserve valuable local competence. Speed will also be responsible for all future transports, both from suppliers in Europe and to the company's stores across the Nordics.
"We see a need for further reduction of our logistics costs, and in Speed, we gain the partner we need for this. They have shown they can combine operational strength with a business partnership, and we are convinced that they will contribute to developing our logistics long-term in a competitive and sustainable way," says Jesper Lien, CEO of Plantasjen.
"This is a strategically important assignment for us. We are establishing ourselves in two new locations and strengthening our position in retail and season-controlled logistics. Plantasjen is a strong brand with complex logistics needs, where we look forward to contributing with our experience and commitment," says Johan Appelkvist, Business Development Manager for Logistics at Speed.
