Plantation reconstruction plans approved
Press release
Press release January 16, 2025
Plantasjen in Norway and Sweden has been under reconstruction since August 22. In late December, Plantasjen submitted reconstruction proposals to the creditors. These proposals have been accepted by a majority of the creditors and are now approved by the respective courts in Sweden and Norway.
Since August 22, 2024, Plantasjen Norge AS and Plantagen Sverige AB have been under reconstruction to ensure continued operation of the business. The court approval of the plans makes it possible to achieve the goals of the reconstructions.
When the court decisions become legally binding, the companies can exit the reconstruction. This is expected to happen on February 18th.
Today's announcement shows that we have gathered the necessary support, and that Plantasjen is on track to complete the reconstruction. There are still some steps left in the process, but we can now look forward and focus on further developing Plantasjen in Norway and Sweden. The new Plantasjen has all the prerequisites to strengthen its position as the leading plant and garden center chain in our markets. Preparations for the upcoming spring season are now being made throughout our store network. I would like to thank all employees at Plantasjen for their fantastic effort in a challenging time, and our business partners for their contribution to our success," says Jesper Lien, CEO of Plantasjen Group.
